Uses WebAssembly technology for near-native processing speed

Completely Free

No registration, no payment, no usage limits

Core Technology

LiteIMG uses industry-leading open-source encoders running in the browser via WebAssembly:

  • MozJPEG - Mozilla's efficient JPEG encoder, achieving 5-15% smaller files at the same quality compared to standard encoders
  • OxiPNG - A PNG optimizer written in Rust, providing optimal lossless compression
  • WebP - Google's next-generation image format, supporting both lossy and lossless compression

Privacy Protection

We take your privacy seriously:

  • Local Processing - All compression is done in your browser, never uploaded to servers
  • No Data Collection - We don't collect or store any image data
  • No Login Required - Use LiteIMG without registering or logging in
  • Open Source - Project code is fully open source and auditable

Security Promise:Your images never leave your device. LiteIMG uses WebAssembly technology to run encoders in your browser - all processing is local. After closing the browser, processed image data is automatically cleared.

FAQ

Will image quality decrease after compression?

For lossy compression (JPG, lossy WebP), at reasonable quality settings (75-85%), quality loss is barely noticeable to the human eye. For lossless compression (PNG, lossless WebP), image quality is completely identical to the original.

Is batch compression supported?

Yes, you can upload multiple images at once for batch compression and download them as a package.

Are there file size limits?

Since processing is done locally in the browser, there's theoretically no file size limit, but processing large files may take longer.
